Acknowledgement Set Up
You must have Admin role permissions to set up an Acknowledgement. To learn more about user roles in Thoropass, see User Roles in Thoropass.
There are 2 ways to configure an acknowledgment for an active policy.
Option 1: via Employee Education

Next, follow the on-screen instructions to create and assign your Policy Acknowledgement.
Step 1: Select Policy
Select the policy you'd like to use for the content of the Acknowledgement: If you launched the set up via the Policy page directly, that policy will be selected by default; otherwise, you'll need to select the policy to apply the acknowledgement.
Policy: Policies must be published in order to show up under the drop down. Policies displayed in the drop down are the latest published versions of that policy.
Acknowledgement Title: This will be auto populated by Thoropass. The title will include Policy Name, Version, Start and End date
Acknowledgement Description: Let assignees know a bit more about the acknowledgement.
Step 2: Configure Settings
Next, you'll be asked for a few additional inputs:
Start date: When would you like the acknowledgement to begin?
Today: launches the acknowledgement at the end of the set up modal
Any day in the future: launches the acknowledgement automatically on the day you select
Due date: How many days does an employee have to complete acknowledgement once it is assigned?
Assign to all employees or a subset?
Assign to all employees: A hands-off approach, this option will assign the acknowledgement to everyone in your People table.
I'll choose assignments: The managed approach, this option will enable you to choose which specific employees to assign to acknowledgement.
Assign acknowledgement to new hires automatically?
Assign automatically [to new hires]: This option will assign the acknowledgement to everyone added to your People table, a good option for acknowledgements that are required for everyone upon hire
Don't assign new hires: This option is good for acknowledgement that are not required of new hires, so you'll send it out once a year to your employee population
Step 3: Select Assignees
If you chose Assign to all employees in the previous section, you'll be presented with the following option:
Invite [X number of] people who are not yet part of Thoropass to join:
Enabling this setting will send invitations to people who are not yet invited to the Thoropass platform.
If this option is disabled, those employees will still be assigned acknowledgement, but you will have to manually invite them to Thoropass from the Users module
Choosing Assignment
At this point, the "Set Up" steps will be complete. If you've opted to Assign to all employees, there won't be any further steps. If you chose I'll choose assignments, at this point you will be need to select the assignees.
Note: The assignments to individual employees can only be done on an active acknowledgement β not a scheduled acknowledgement with a start date in the future. You'll have to wait for the start date to configure the assignments.
For the option: I'll choose assignments, the acknowledgement page will be populated with a list of employees all with a status of "Not Assigned." To assign individual employees, select which those individuals by selecting the checkbox on the user's row and click the ASSIGN button above the table.
You an always "unassign" an employee, regardless of whether you selected Assign to all employees or I'll choose assignments.
