How to: Integrate GitLab with Thoropass (SaaS)

Step-by-step guide to integrate SaaS GitLab account with Thoropass.

GitLab User Permissions (Read Only):

  • Read Groups

  • Read Group members

  • Read Projects

  • Read Merge Requests

GitLab Data Synced to Thoropass Objects:

  • Pull Requests

  • Users

  • Repositories

  • Accounts


How to set up Gitlab in Thoropass:

  1. Log into the Thoropass App.

  2. Select Settings, Integrations.

  3. Click +Browse Integrations..

  4. Scroll to Gitlab, click on Learn More.

  5. Click Set Up Integration.

  6. Select the "GitLab Subscription Type":GitLab SaaS.

  7. Enter a name to identify the connection account, then click Save.

  8. Click Next.
    ​

  9. Click the Launch GitLab button.
    (to sign into the Gitlab account you wish to connect).

  10. Click Authorize Thoropass App to complete the process.
    (This will start routing information to related Thoropass Objects).

  11. Select the 'GitLab groups' or 'subgroups' you'd like to connect to Thoropass.

Note:

When selected, groups do not include any subgroups. To pull a subgroup's data:

  • Select that subgroup directly.

  • All repositories, public or private, related to your selections will be pulled.
