If a monitor has a linked Control:

  • The overall health of the Monitor includes the health status of the Control.

  • The status of any associated Action Items does not affect the Monitor or the Control health.

How Monitors with linked Controls work:

  • Monitors Are Key: To remediate an unhealthy Control, you must resolve the underlying violations identified by Monitors.

  • Action Items Are Separate: Marking an action item as “N/A” will not affect the Control's overall health.

  • Use N/A Correctly: If a Monitor does not apply to your environment, mark it as “N/A” and it will no longer impact the overall Control health.
