Education Types
"Acknowledgement” Type
Content: This type of education will allow admins to select a policy as the content. During set up, the selection box will pull from the latest version of any published policies in the Policies and Procedures table.
Note: The policy version must be published in order for it to show up in the selection drop down

"Training" Type
Content: This education type is for standard trainings. Admins can create a new training from a Thoropass template or from their own uploaded content.

Task and Email Notifications
Notification of Assignment
When an admin assigns a training or acknowledgement, Thoropass will:
send emails out to every assignee
assign a task to every assignee
Reminder Notifications
When the assignee is approaching the due date (and if overdue), Thoropass will:
Send email reminders out to those assignees
(If overdue) On that Acknowledgement or Training’s details page, change status of employee to “overdue”
(If overdue) In Tasks, change the due date color to red and move to the “overdue” section
Progress Update for Admins
While an Acknowledgement or Training is active, if employees are overdue and/or due soon, Thoropass will:
Send weekly updates to the admin, with status information for employees with upcoming or overdue education assignments

Will policy acknowledgement assignments still be sent out when the policy is published?
No - users will now have more control over when acknowledgements are created and assignments are sent out.
Acknowledgements will only be assigned and sent out when set up from the new Employee Education feature
What if I already had the “Employee Acceptance” feature toggled on for my policy, and I want to publish a new version of the policy?
Any existing policies with the “Employee Acceptance” feature turned on will receive a message in the publish modal.

What if I already had the “Employee Acceptance” feature toggled on for my policy, but I don’t want to create a new version of the policy yet?
As long as you do not publish a new version or set up a new acknowledgement for that existing policy, the “employee acceptance” automation will continue to run.
All incomplete assignments will stay open and new hires will continue to receive assignments. Progress will be tracked only via the “People” table.
What else should I know about existing policy versions that had “Employee Acceptance” turned on?
You can still create an acknowledgement for a policy, without creating a new version. If you decide to do so, here’s what will happen:
Thoropass will automatically stop any existing “employee acceptance” automation for the policy.
Any existing completions logged from the “Employee Acceptance” automation will be kept, and reflected in the acknowledgement details page.
Thoropass will only keep the completions that have been logged for the current published verison of the policy.
