The Zoom integration lets Thoropass automatically collect user access and role information from your Zoom account. This data is used to support access review automation.

Who can connect Zoom

A Zoom admin must connect the integration. Thoropass cannot access Zoom data without admin approval.

Why Thoropass needs these permissions

When you connect Zoom, you’re asked to approve two OAuth scopes. These scopes are required to read user and role data for access reviews.

Required OAuth scopes

Thoropass requests the following Zoom permissions:

  • User and Permission Management: View “Role management”
Allows Thoropass to see Zoom roles and their assigned permissions.

  • User and Permission Management: View “Users”
Allows Thoropass to see the list of users and their role assignments.

Thoropass uses this information read-only to identify who has access and what level of access they have for compliance reviews.

How this data is used

Once connected, Thoropass:

  • Syncs Zoom users and their roles

  • Maps role-based access for access reviews

  • Keeps access review evidence up to date automatically
