If you manage your compliance work in Vanta, you can easily export your evidence and upload it into Thoropass for Smart Sort to organize. Follow the steps below to generate a complete evidence package.

The Documents page in Vanta provides a centralized view of all thedocuments, reports, and supporting materials your company manages for compliance. It shows which documents are required for your frameworks, which ones are up to date, and which may need renewal or updates before your next audit. This page is where teams keep their audit-critical documentation organized and ready.

When preparing to export documents for your audit, you can use the filters and search tools on this page to quickly find the files most relevant to your upcoming review. Filtering by framework, owner, or document type helps you focus on the documents your auditor is likely to request, while excluding drafts or outdated versions that you don’t need to export.

Once you’ve identified the documents you want to take into Thoropass, simply select them using the checkboxes on the left and export them as a ZIP file. Vanta packages everything for you, making it easy to download your policies, evidence files, and supporting documentation in one bundle.

After downloading the ZIP, you can upload it directly into the Evidence Smart Sort tab in Thoropass. Smart Sort will automatically read and classify each document, mapping it to the correct evidence request so you don’t need to sort files manually. All that’s left is to review the matches and submit them for your audit.
