Why Use Connected Tools?

The Connected Tools tab makes it easy to:

• Monitor your systems and controls in real time

• Quickly see evidence linked to guidelines without leaving the control view

• Ensure both automated and manual checks are visible together for better audit readiness

Monitors

Monitors automatically check your connected systems (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) for compliance with the control’s requirements. In this tab, you can:

  • See all active monitors linked to the control

• Review their current status (healthy, violations found, connection errors)

• Toggle to show inactive monitors if needed

Files

The Files section lists all documents that have been uploaded to evidence requests (ERs) tied to this control’s guidelines. These files provide context and proof for compliance activities.

Important details about files in Connected Tools:

• Files here are snapshots in time. If you update or replace a file in the ER itself, the version in Connected Tools will not change

• Each file record shows the file name, who uploaded it, and the upload date

• Files can be deleted from this view if they no longer apply
