JIRA Cloud ER Sync

This article details the new (as of September 2025) Evidence Request Jira sync functionality for cloud.

We’ve expanded our Jira integration capabilities to Evidence Requests (ERs)! This gives our customers the ability to sync evidence requests into JIRA for improved project management.

This works from the existing Jira (PM) Sync integration, so make sure you have it set up with no errors to utilize the functionality!

Once you’re ready to use the feature, head into your Audit module to open up an audit, then navigate to an ER. Note that ER sync only works when there is one ER section present. If there is more than one section in an ER, sync will be disabled.

Simply click the “Sync to Jira” button and you’re good to go!

NOTE: Manual linking of existing Jira tickets is NOT supported. The ticket must be created in Thoropass.

Jira sync for ERs includes the following capabilities:

  • Open Jira ticket direct links from Thoropass

  • Manual refresh in Thoropass

  • Sync the following from Jira to Thoropass:

    • Ticket ID

    • Title

    • Assignee

    • Status

    • Comments

    • Attachments

  • Sync the following from Thoropass to Jira

    • Comments

    • Attachments
