What is myCSF?
myCSF is the official HITRUST web portal. All audit evidence must be inputted into myCSF to be accepted for HITRUST assessments. Thoropass offers an integration with myCSF to automate this process, saving both you and your auditor time and effort.
If you have a HITRUST assessment scheduled with Thoropass, it is required that you integrate your myCSF account with Thoropass. This will prevent delays and ensure that your audit experience is as seamless as possible.
How Do I Integrate HITRUST myCSF with Thoropass?
To integrate with myCSF, you will need to create an API User in the myCSF portal. To create an API User, do the following:
Log into your myCSF Portal as an Administrator.
Note: This integration can only be completed by a myCSF account with the Administrator role.
From the dashboard on the Home page, select Administration.
If you do not see a button labeled Administration, your account is not an Administrator.
On the Administration page, navigate to the section labeled API Users.
If you do not see API Users, please reach out to support@hitrustalliance.net and state. When they turn it on, please check again.
Please turn on the "Read and Write API user" feature for our myCSF subscription because it is required for our external assessor Thoropass.
Select New API User.
When asked for the type of access for this user, choose Read and Write and select Create API User.
You will receive credentials including a User Name and an API Key. Record this information in a secure location. You will need to enter these credentials into Thoropass when integrating.
Log into Thoropass and go to the HITRUST myCSF Integration.
Select Browse Integrations.
Find HITRUST myCSF and and select Manage.
Select New Connection and complete the setup wizard using the credentials you received in step 6.
